FACE COVERING REQUIREMENT INSTITUTED
Effective Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the Jackson County Board of Education will require face-coverings for all employees and students in grades K- 12, regardless of vaccination status, while indoors and for all passengers on a school bus. This requirement extends to all individuals entering school facilities for any events.
If an employee or student has a medical condition that may prevent them from wearing a face covering, they may request a medical exemption by submitting a fully completed exemption form to the school principal or immediate supervisor. Exemption forms will be forwarded to the Jackson County Health Department for review to determine if an exemption is granted.
Staff and students are to comply with the face covering requirement until which time their exemption is approved by the Jackson County Health Department.
