Jackson County Schools is accepting nominations for the 2026 Service Personnel of the Year. Nominations can be electronically submitted by students, teachers, administrators, or the general public, from Monday, December 2, 2024, until Friday, December 13, 2024, at 4 pm.
The nominated Service Personnel candidate should be an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled service personnel employed by Jackson County Schools. The opportunity is open to all Jackson County Schools' Service Personnel.
To be eligible, the Service Personnel Must:
A. hold any required certification in area(s) of assignment;
B. be a current full-time service personnel employee; and
C. have local county board consent to participate.
The nominated Service Personnel should:
A. extend himself/herself beyond basic required duties by displaying initiative and creativity;
B. enhances student learning through exemplary service in his/her position;
C. creates positive relationships with parents, students, coworkers, and community members;
D. makes schools safer, healthier, and more attractive;
E. earns respect and admiration of colleagues and the community;
F. demonstrates exceptional skill and dedication on the job;
G. displays exemplary leadership abilities through active participation in school or district and community activities, and/or by making decisions and delegating effectively and diplomatically;
H. exhibits good interpersonal skills;
I. utilizes in-service and/or training to consistently improve and develop skills; and
J. demonstrates exemplary interpersonal skills in communication with students, families, and community members, as well as collaboration with professionals.
The selection process is conducted by a review panel consisting of representatives from community members. Central office employees do not participate on the review panel. The review panel will interview finalists and select the 2026 Jackson County Schools' Service Personnel of the Year.
