Good afternoon. This is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. This is a reminder that Jackson County Schools will have a three-hour early dismissal on Friday, December 20, 2024. Also, Jackson County Schools will be closed from Monday, December 23 through January 5th with students returning to school on Monday, January 6, 2025. Please have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season.
There will be a senior meeting held in the RHS auditorium on Monday (12/16) during 2nd period and a junior meeting held during 7th period. RJTC, Co-op and Senior Enrichment students are to attend the session in which they are at the high school. Opportunities for free college classes through Marshall University next semester will be discussed as well as other opportunities.

Breakfast with Santa: Ravenswood High School is hosting a Breakfast with Santa event this Saturday, 12/14 from 8:00 – 11:00 in the cafeteria. Adults $8.00 / Kids $5 / Children 2 and under eat free. Other activities available for purchase include face painting, fun & games and a cake walk. All proceeds benefit Ravenswood High’s Unified Sports fund, a division of Special Olympics.
Parents and/or Guardians of sophomores: On Thursday, December 5, the 10th grade students will travel by bus to the Roane Jackson Technical Center. Students will tour the Technical Center and have a short assembly with the Director of RJTC. The bus will leave Ravenswood High at 8:15 and return to school at 11:15.
